= The King My Father's Wreck, a memoir by the poet Louis Simpson, who died not long ago. I like that he dispenses with transitions. He's divorced before we ever hear about his marriage.
= Doing Good Better, William MacAskill. A bit hectoring & too utilitarian but a useful way to think about one's donations & where you can best give your money.
= White Trash: The 400-Year Untold History of Class in America, Nancy Isenberg. I have to admit I didn't read a lot past the intro, & then it was snatched off my Kindle because I had it out from the library. And I guess I don't entirely remember what she said in the parts I do read. But if you like that kind of thing, this is the kind of thing you would like.
= John Donne. Lots of John Donne. I am in love with him again.
