Would have been so cool to have heard any of these musicians. Alas, the first time I was ever in NYC was several years after the Fillmore closed. Johnny remembers hearing the Kinks, who opened for a bank called California. And Jimi Hendrix, who was "terrific." The site is just a block from where I work. I pass it every day.
